Senator Brad Hawkins - 12th Legislative District
Not seeking reelection
Senator Brad Hawkins serves the 12th legislative district in north-central Washington and has been since 2013. However, his experience with the region has spanned many more years. Growing up in Wenatchee Valley and attending high school in the Wenatchee School District sparked his passion for the area. After graduating from Central Washington University and George Washington University, he returned to the Wenatchee Valley.
Outside of the legislature, Senator Hawkins spends time in the Wenatchee area with his wife, Shawna and their children. Even outside of session, he participates in the surrounding community. In the past, he has served on the North Central Educational Service District Board of Directors and the YMCA Board of Directors in Wenatchee Valley. Additionally, Senator Hawkins served two years as the president of the Eastmont School Board.
It is from these experiences that Senator Hawkins prioritizes education, transportation, and public safety in his work at the legislature. He currently serves as the Ranking Member of the Early Learning & K-12 Education Committee, the State Government & Elections Committee, and the Transportation Committee. Senator Hawkins believes that strengthening these essential services can help the economy prosper and create a better and safer future for 12th District residents.
