Senator Ann Rivers - 18th Legislative District
Not seeking reelection
Senator Ann Rivers proudly represents the 18th Legislative District which includes parts of Clark and Cowlitz counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and was elected to the Senate in 2012.
Senator Rivers serves on the Senate’s Health and Long-Term Care Committee, Ways and Means and the Rules committee. Previously she served on the Early Learning and K-12 Education, and Transportation committees.
Ann is an experienced leader both in and out of the Senate. She is in her sixth year on the Senate Republican leadership team and previously served as caucus chair in 2021. Ann is part of the Greater Clark County Rotary and volunteers for events such as the American Cancer Society’s West Clark County Relay for Life. When she’s not volunteering or working on behalf of the 17th LD Senator Rivers also serves on the board of several organizations.
Senator Rivers has a degree in Political Science and a secondary-education teaching certificate. She and her husband Fred reside in La Center and are parents to two adult sons.
