Rep. Alex Ybarra - 13th Legislative District
Rep. Alex Ybarra is a lifelong resident of Quincy and proudly represents the people of Washington’s 13th Legislative District. A graduate of Central Washington University, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration. Alex has worked for Grant County Public Utility District since 2003 and currently serves as the acting Reliability and Compliance Auditor.
Before being elected to the Legislature, Alex served on the Quincy School Board, where he held leadership roles as president, vice president, and legislative representative. He also serves in statewide education leadership, including as vice president of the Washington State School Directors Association and previously on its legislative committee.
In the Legislature, Alex focuses on issues important to Central Washington, including protecting agriculture, ensuring reliable access to water and energy, improving forest management to reduce wildfire risk, and increasing government accountability. He is committed to promoting common-sense resource management, supporting local control in education, and advocating for responsible budgeting and tax relief for Washington families.
