Connie Lord has served eight years on the Poulsbo City Council.
She is a member of Poulsbo-North Kitsap Rotary, Sons of Norway, Friends of the Library, Poulsbo Historical Society, Marine Science Center, and the Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce. In Winslow she worked in the management of the Land Use Administration and in City Clerk's Office.

Lord to Challenge Rockefeller
Poulsbo City Councilwoman Connie Lord announced at the county GOP's Lincoln Day dinner Friday she will challenge state Sen. Phil Rockefeller, D-Bainbridge Island, for his 23rd District seat.
Lord said one of her primary concerns is how state government hamstrings local government. "There is a disconnect between state agencies and what's on the ground," she said.
She said state agencies need to be more sensitive to the locals.
Lord also pointed to problems with the ferries. "I'm appalled that the ferry system got into the shape it got into," she said. "They should have seen that coming."
